I absolutely loved working on this style shoot with such incredible and talented vendors. I wanted to create a shoot that represented my brand and incorporated copper as much as possible. I turned to Michelle owner of Michelle Amarillo Event Planning and she took it from there. She coordinated with some incredible people to make the shoot come to life. I am always in awe of Michelle in her planning and styling. She did our wedding so naturally I am a little biased.
Utilizing the beautiful space over looking Rudee Inlet, The Water Table was the perfect space for the shoot. I just love the clean and neutral space that really has the ability to be anything you want for your wedding day! Kathy was just amazing with letting us use the space! We used beautiful table linens that mimic waves with the texture from Waterford Event Rentals . Copper chargers, sea glass plates, oyster shell place settings, and beautiful florals by Fleurish and Bloom with a pop of tangerine to compliment the copper accents. Coral pieces and simple, yet modern touches with the details, made the shoot unique! I loved the invitation suite designed by April with PaperDolls Design, printed with a beautiful copper script and accented with vintage nautical stamps. The dress that the beautiful Shannon wore was from Gossamer. Nick and Shannon were perfect models for us, having a built in love that coincidently started in the very space they were wed. They got married in July 2012 at the Water Table so it was so neat to have them do the shoot for us! We chatted about all the connections we didn’t know we had and I got to know them through my weird squealing and excitement. I am so thankful that they were such troopers in the chilly conditions on the docks. The beautiful oyster shells with the names hand lettered were the perfect touch to the table. Shannon’s makeup was so perfectly done by the fabulous Dhalia Edwards with a subtle copper lid and a neutral lip. Stephanie did such an amazing job with Shannon’s hair that perfectly went with the vibe and truly showed off the back of Shannon’s gown. We accessorized Shannon with a little Stella and Dot coral copper cuff, some rose gold studs, and a beautiful All Washed Up Jewelry necklace.
I absolutely LOVE the canvas made by Evelyn with Letterlyn, with my favorite quote by Bob Marley “In a high tide or in a Low tide, I’ll be by your side”. This speaks volumes about love and marriage. It isn’t just the pretty details; it’s all the messiness that is marriage and that commitment that you will stick through it all throughout the waves and seasons of your life. It is about not giving up and staying true to your love story. Through the good and the bad. The beautiful and the ugly. The mundane and the amazing. Those moments tell your love story and that is in part why I am so passionate about capturing beautiful love stories… not just the wedding days but longer after the wedding bells have rung, through the waves of uncertainty and the beautiful adventures however big or small they may be. All life’s adventures in marriage matter.
I am excited to share this creative shoot with you all! Enjoy! Thank you to all that made this shoot possible!
