St. Michaels Engagement Session

Caitlin and Teddy live in Rhode Island and love the coastal town they call home.  Small and quaint and full of coastal details and lighthouses they adore so much.  In their spare time they take their Australian Shepard for walks on the beach, they explore all the lighthouses they can, and they are enjoying making a life together.  Teddy asked for Caitlin’s hand in marriage in front of a lighthouse… how romantic!! Although I feel like I already know these two through keeping contact with them, it didn’t take long for me to realize in their presense that these two are best friends.  They finish each other’s sentences and they are truly excited for this season of life.  We chatted the whole time about how the location we met at mimics much like their home.  A small fishing town that has that coastal vibe that signs to their hearts.  Colorful homes and quaint streets that are surrounded by the water. Caitlin described St. Michaels “The moment we arrived, it felt like home. The cutest streets lined with historical homes and a Main Street as quaint as our own in East Greenwich.”

I ‘met’ Caitlin on Instagram and while we took a course together.  Kindred sports at heart and the more and more I get to know Caitlin the more I realize we are so much alike.  Our shared passion for the coasts brings a connection like no other.  It is truly incredible how similar we see the sea and the parallels to life. It is always an honor to capture all of my couples but something is special when a fellow photographer asks me to be a part of this special time!
