Hi there! I’m a Wedding & Anniversary photographer based in Virginia Beach, serving couples throughout Hampton Roads, the Outer Banks (OBX) and beyond. A wife to my handsome firefighter husband, obsessed dog-mom to my precious pup, Bodie, and lover of the sand, salt, and sea. I’m a creative soul who finds a deep joy in capturing your love story throughout every stage of life; preserving the memories you experience along the way. A lifetime of love isn’t always calm waters, but it’s always worth the ride.
Today I am sharing our trip down south a few week’s ago. We did a ‘thing’ that we have been craving to do for years. It finally panned out and what an experience! Guys… We took a helicopter ride over our favorite barrier islands. It was so surreal and breath taking. If you ever want to do this, I highly recommend Coastal Helicopters out of Manteo, NC. They were so knowledgeable and friendly. You can really tell they love what they do!
To see the Outer Banks from a whole new perspective made me fall in love with this place more. What a cool opportunity to view the place we have traveled all of our lives in a whole new way. We can do the same things, eat at the same spots, and soak in the sun on our favorite sand but to see the place we call our second home in this new perspective was unreal.
This trip we stayed at a VBRO, Siren Sound and it was perfect!! I loved all the coastal touches! We also tried some new eats and went to our favorite spots too! This trip was a success and I am so glad we went. We needed some us time as this past few months have been crazy for us. Lots of life changes, lots of busy, and lots of time away from each other.
This is Coastal Living for you and I just wish I could spend more time here!
If you go to the Outer Banks be sure to check out some of our favorite spots… (just to name a few).
We had breakfast with our local friends and it was just what we both needed!
Fun fact: Our dog is named after the Bodie Island Light House. This lighthouse is always my favorite in the Outer Banks!
We were driving in our favorite old Nags Head neighborhoods and happen to drive on this street with this abandon house being washed away by the sea. Two perspectives.
Wish I brought some of our custom koozies! What a cool bar, Fish Heads… a new favorite… best shrimp ever!
