This gorgeous couple asked me to document there love as it is right now. Married a few years, they value these moments to invest for their marriage. They are about to embark on a new adventure that they announced this week and it was beyond an honor to capture this time in their lives just before they cross the pond. The are moving to ITALY for Jordan’s work where he will be stationed! Mandalyn is also a photographer (it is always so humbling when photographers ask other photographers to capture their moments). She told me about their news so naturally I was so excited to capture these for them. A time just before their world is about to change… in so many incredible ways.
If you aren’t following along on her journey you should… she is going to be photographing their travels around Europe and the adventures that lie a head of them. They are young and excited to spice up their lives and I am so pumped for them. Go give her a follow and read about their travels along the way.
Mandalyn and Jordan knew they wanted Downtown Norfolk along the waterfront and by the Wisconsin for their Anniversary session. They wanted to tie in his Navy roots in the place they started their marriage. It was a chilly evening but these two were so snuggly!
When I asked Jordan what he loves most about Mandalyn, he answered in a way that stopped me in my tracks… “Acceptance”.
She accepts him for the way he is and doesn’t try to mold him into something or someone else. Something so simple that is easy to forget in marriage. A profound trait of building a life together. No matter what, without hesitation, accepting each other despite whatever flaws there may or may not be. Accepting each other through differences and through all the adventures of life. Accepting the road that brought them where they are now, the present and what ever is to come.
I love Anniversary sessions because it is that built in love that is not just beautiful but it is refreshing. Homebodies at heart, these two are simply perfect together! I adored our time together, it may have been chilly, but I drove home with a happy heart! It was a honor to capture these two during this season of their life. Cheers to you guys, I loved our time together and wish all the best in your adventures to come. I’ll be seeing you!
