Carriage House Navy Wedding Caitlin + Ted

The Carriage House Navy Wedding

Caitlin + Ted

Their first date was under some pretty extreme circumstances, there was a major snow storm and a few of their friends had to go to the ER.  Through the night though, they started a bond and what seemed quick to most, Cait knew that Ted was the one she would marry. Caitlin told her sister, Jackie that she could really get use to taking Ted’s name as she would be Caitlin Elizabeth James.  It has a nice ring to it and very regal if you ask me.  Here we are about 5 years later and they said I do in front of their closest people.  Their vows to each other said it best, they compliment each other well with the opposite traits.  Cait is outgoing and bold and Ted is a bit more reserved.  Ted is neat and likes things in order while Cait is a bit more free spirited.  They are both driven, focused, and passionate people.  They bonded over the loss of both of their fathers and you can tell they are both family people.  Caitlin and Ted got married at The Carriage House and their Navy wedding was certainly for the books.

Their day was nothing short of regal but more importantly, heartfelt and beautiful. From their sentimental and personal vows, to the shots honoring their fathers during the ceremony, to all the little moments that made their day so special.  Caitlin knew she wanted a classic and regal wedding as she incorporated “Ginger Jars” into their day.  They aren’t just beautiful additions, they have a greater meaning.  Her grandmother always told her that she would one day have her collection of them and what better way to bring family heirlooms into her big day than by using the jars throughout her wedding for decoration.

Caitlin is my salty soul sister and it is amazing what social media can do to bring people together.  I am so grateful I got to tell your story and be a part of this incredible time.  What an honor it is to photograph another photographer’s wedding day.  You are as passionate and beautiful soul and all those around you shine a bit brighter with you around.

I loved being a part of their day and am so honored to share a bit of their day.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ted James!

Special thank you to all the incredible vendor who made their day so special! And to my husband for second shooting for me!
